DTV's Cantone channels are news + repetitive movies and old stuff = the cheapest materials + the most profitable per DTV = 0 customer
I've complained years ago.
I just came back from Asia.
Still see the same oldies, 2017 or older stuffs repetitively recycling on the screen.
Looks like a scam TV.
Who's the director or supervisor or controller of these Chinese channels in DTV?
DO they understand what is showing on their DTV?
No updates of ASIA market at all!!!
Spending the least money to earn the most from U.S. customers.
SO sadddddd

DIRECTV has no control over what Chinese channels broadcast or how. You need to get into contact with those individual content owners and let them know you’d like to see different content. Again, this has nothing to do with DIRECTV.

Your complaint is with the channel owner, not DirecTV. Like other TV providers, DirecTV has no control over what programming a channel has.
This is the same answer no mater what channel you talk about. Take it up with the company that actually owns the network that you find their programming to repetitive.

DTV pick this i-Cable TV for Cantonese customers. i-Cable TV have different channels: news, youth, cartoons, new release movies, old movies....
DTV have the right to choose which channel for sale to their customer, of course once it was set, no way to tune up and down.
Why DTV pick the worst one for oversea customers? The monthly charge is not cheap.

We are just customers like you on a public forum. We have no clue why directv would choose one international channel over another or choose not to offer others. If DIRECTV doesn’t offer the channels you want and you feel cable is a better value, no reason to keep subscribing. You can call in easily and cancel. Easier done than said (IMO).

Yes.
I keep subscribe DTV because of i-cable news, for my parents.
I expect improvement after I complained last year.
This year I came back from Asia and see nothing change.
I definitely will quit and remind those who are coming.
There are free Asia channels with wonderful programs on web, no need to pay for something dull and zero work at all.
Thank you!

DirecTV has no control over channel's programming.
Complain to channel owner, not DirecTV.
Unknown why DirecTV got an agreement with that channel as opposed to others.
Negotiations between DirecTV and the channels to carry are private to the company.
DirecTV is for the United States so programming for other countires is limited.
If DirecTV doesn't have the programming you want then you seek elsewhere.
This is a public forum, not an offical line to DirecTV so we are other customers.
