Try refreshing service authorizations at www.directv.com/refresh and/or a red button reset on the boxes to kick the pack through, provided you are still authorized for it.

Log into your accounts and verify you have the same services as before. Also check the prior bills to verify if it was the short run HBO for Life (with qualifying bundled AT&T services), or was temporary (i.e. 1 of 12, 2 of 12, etc.).

If that doesn't clear up the situation, then call DirecTV. This is a public forum of other customers so we cannot look into the exact special you had.

Directv never offered HBO for life to my knowledge. HBO for life was included with other ATT services, most notably cellular. If you got HBO free from some other service, it was also added to your Directv account. I currently get free HBO from my wireless plan and the HBO on my Directv account specifically states “HBO Max with AT&T Unlimited & More Premium”.  If I change that plan or cancel that service, I would lose the free HBO. So, what service got you your HBO for life and do you still have that service?

sandblasted I got mine the same way & I barely noticed it was no longer free. I tried resetting, to no avail. I will call customer service. Thanks for sharing your experience. Robert

Any resolution?  My "HBO for life" also just disappeared... I called AT&T and was told that the plan we signed up for in 2018 no longer exists and they grandfathered our actual cell plan, but not the HBO, despite it being called "HBO for life."

I like the way they link both my at&t and directv accounts together, while trying to play both sides of the fence as they screw us out of the "Free HBO." This was a binding contract. Plus, I'm tired of arguing with Directv every quarter about their price increases, as they look for a new way to screw you out of what you USED TO HAVE for FREE!
