Free previews
I no longer get direct tv messages showing free previews, etc. I asked via a direct tv chat platform and was told they no longer do free previews. Do you think I was given bad info?

DTV actually doesn't have free previews, it is the channels that does them, I also don't remember getting any for a few months now.

DirecTV would once in a while do a Freeview week of the Xtra package. At the very least that was theirs as I doubt all the channel owners got together and agreed with each other and left DirecTV out of it.
There was a Freeview for the Movies Extra Pack (old name: HD Extra Pack) back in May. And there was MGM+ last month. But the big ones (i.e. HBO) were near the end of last year. So don't know what the future holds.
