I get audio but no video when I stream direct tv app through hdmi cable
Correct because streaming/casting/airplay to TV is not supported. Using the app to put it on a TV is not allowed. App is for viewing on mobile only. To watch on the big screen, you have a box on it and pay for it being authorized like your other TVs.
