DirecTV is satellite service. It does not have a way to download 3rd party apps for streaming, especially not a competitor like Netflix.
Netflix cannot "hook up" to anything as it is a service, not equipment. And DirecTV equipment is outputting their service with no way to input another device (streaming or otherwise).

Right as Netflix is a competitor so you have to use your TV's Netflix app or get a streaming device.
