is the fee for purchasing a movie the same as for recording the movie to tv?

i would like to watch a movie that I can buy or record to tv.  if I record it to tv, will I still have to pay the purchase cost?

Watching live or recording from a PPV channel means what it says. It is Pay-Per-View.

If you watch or record the same program, but from a channel you subscribe to, then no PPV cost. Unlike the PPV it will have commercials (unless on HBO, Starz, Cinemax, or Showtime of course). Not too often a movie is on both PPV and a subscription channel, but it can happen.

Just do not order over the phone with a live agent as that would have an additional $5 phone transaction fee. Ordering online, over the phone with voice system, or by remote is just the PPV cost. Though by remote only authorizes it for that receiver, but the other methods allow it for the whole account.
