Local Network Channels/East & West Eligibility

I wanted to see if there is an update on the law that congress passed  effective 5/31/20 that took away the east and west  channels 390 thru 399.

The STELAR Act that allowed those channels expired. Channels lobbied Congress to not renew it.

DirecTV has apparently reached limited agreements with the networks that allow some customers to keep a few channels. No hard details on how that works, but so far appears whatever channels are lost by this point are not returning.

So going forward, DirecTV may only provide you locals in your Designated Market Area (DMA).

There is no update as there was no new law, the FCC allowed the old act to expire that allowed DTV and all other providers to use the DNS channels and if and when DTV can make deals with the networks to provide local channels there will be no replacements.

Why is incomplete information posted whenever someone has a Stelar DNS question, the deals are not "if and when", they are done and have been confirmed by Directv, it is true that right now nobody knows if channels lost can get reinstated as per the new agreements and until we can get confirmation on the new parameters, I would advise everyone to call Directv, call in monthly until they can give you a reason why you are not part of the new agreements with CBS/FOX/NBC, right now ABC has no new agreement.
