Local weather not updating

Weather Channel (362) has not updated the local weather for four days (Wednesday, March 1, 2023 to Sunday, March 5) and the section above the daily weather says "Temporarily Unavailable". I have tried changing and adding cities, power cycling the box, and pressing the red reset button on the box. My box model is H25-500 DIRECTV Satellite Receiver. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I live in metro Denver and have had the same problem with the Local Weather Forecast and Local on the 8s. It appears to be stuck on forecasts beginning March 1st. I did just submit an email to The Weather Channel but haven't heard back. Did something happen between TWC and DirecTV on March 1st - a change in the contract / agreement, a price dispute? That may explain the problem and why nothing is being done. For now, I'm watching AccuWeather and using my smartphone weather app more.

It's not a carriage agreement issue. Did you read the Weather Channel response that someone posted yesterday?

DirectTV is currently experiencing issues that are impacting viewers trying to get Weather Channel information. They are working on the issue but there is no ETA at the moment.

I got that same email Tuesday.  It still makes you wonder why it takes so long to repair something that seems to happens from time to time.  The last time I had the same issue was about 8 months ago.

Same problem in 48079 Michigan  North of Detroit...Weather Channel not updated in 2 weeks on directtv....

As mentioned it is a known issue being investigated. And it is not localized to one specific area. There is no ETA on fix. Will have to use other methods for more tailored weather info in the meantime.

Problem resolved-for us anyway! The updated receiver didn't fix the issue, at least it didn't fix the day it was installed, which was Monday. However, when we pressed the red button on the remote yesterday (Wednesday), the issue was resolved. Our current local weather is now updating like is should. I hope that whatever happened has fixed this issue for everyone else, too. If not, you may want to switch out your receiver. However, if you do, be sure to ask about installation charges and if there is a monthly up-charge for the new receiver. We got the same type of receiver instead of the latest model because, even though the latest model would provide additional services, it would add $24 to our monthly bill. Good luck!

Mine was fixed when I got home Monday afternoon, the 13th.  I still have my original receiver.
