As OttoPylot says, you pay for a service package. DIRECTV gives you a list of the channels currently in that package at the time, but does not guarantee that the list will remain unchanged, instead it warns that it may.
It certainly never guarantees "tv shows." Shows are at the mercy of the content provider and they can, and do, cancel them at a whim. Sometimes because of something someone says on Twitter.

If those are on local channels then your local may have removed their feed until they reach an agreement on a new contract.

You are paying for TV by satellite, not specific shows. TV providers do not control the channels so cannot dictate what programming they show. You have an issue with a show being missing, take it up with the channel owner.
On the off chance you mean a local channel or 2 has been pulled, that is a different situation. TV providers don't own the channels so have carriage agreement for permission to rebroadcast them. Sometimes when those agreements come up, the channel owner pulls the feed to leverage us customers for higher rates. TV provider cannot force them to stay.
Either way no breach of contract. Programming is subject to change, be it the shows on the channels or the channels themselves. There is absolutely no guarantee that any content will always be there. Perhaps read the Terms of Service to understand them instead of making a false accusation.
