Lost HIST, A&E, Lifetime and Vice, AGAIN!
I recently found that DIRECTV had removed HIST, A&E, Lifetime and Vice from my package, but that I could choose to opt back in. Unfortunately, the web page to do that did not work, after multiple tries on multiple computers, with multiple browsers, both at home and at work. (It pretended to load, but stuck at the rotating colored broken circle until a window came up saying that the system had timed out.) I was able, after several chats on the forum, and on the phone, to have them restored. I was assured that I would have access to them from then on.
I just tried to turn to HIST, and found that it was again missing. Resetting the DVR did not change that. My wife and I do use those channels, especially HIST, on which new programming is about to start, which we would like to be able to see.
The opt-in page STILL does the same thing, that is, it never loads. This is not a good time for me to make a phone call, and I have a busy schedule. In this situation, I would normally send an email to customer service, but apparently, DIRECTV does not have one, so I am posting this here.
This is a VERY frustrating situation.

The opt-in process for those that value the channels enough to keep them in the lower packages (Select and Entertainment) has been problematic. If it loads and you get it submitted, it should be fixed within 48 hours.
However, if the page doesn't load in the first place, calling is your option. This is a public forum of customers. Unlike the parent company AT&T which operates on traditional business hours, DirecTV retains their historic hours which is 7 days a week 8am to Midnight EST.

Hi, Juniper!
Thank you for your response. I do understand that this is a public forum. Both the DIRECTV web site and a DIRECTV representative on the phone said that they are available by phone 24/7. When I called both numbers listed on the web site, however, I received a recording saying what you said in your post regarding office hours.
My initial post (on this forum) got a response from a DIRECTV representative, and we were in touch via chat/message, then phone.
