macOS, OSX and iOS Streaming
VideoGuard 13 on macOS Monterey, Big Sur or anything back to OSX Yosemite....whats the deal? Do we just pretend to install something and then continue to ask for it to be installed? The infinite loop of "you need this, you got this, it's done, congratulations, do it again" is getting old. Also...the iOS App does not allow play. If you're trying to force people in the Apple EcoSystem to use DirecTV Stream....could you just be honest and tell us? It would save me an hour a year pretending I'm doing something on my computer.

Not sure what you're doing. This is the DirecTV Satellite, not DirecTV Stream. There's a separate forum for DirecTV Stream.

@litzdog911 - I am using (not using) the DirecTV App for their Satellite Service that I have had for 15 years. Over those year I have used their App and Web Site to "stream" live content, recorded content and on demand content. I understand the confusion you have with the word "stream" since its also being used as a marketing term by DirecTV. Here is the point: The DirecTV App no longer works for streaming activities for the iOS. It does not work on any of the top four web browsers under any macOS and has not worked since OS 10.10.x Yosemite. Simply put, they pretend to offer a product that works on macOS and iOS for people who are subscribed to their Satellite offering. The product does not work. It does not work on the same network as a connected DVR from DirecTV. Not while away from that network and using any of the current Apple platforms. I think the real issue is that the words "ACE" and "Sage" have become euphemisms for "Apologist" and "Defender".

Still works fine for me.
That was a totally uncalled for cheap shot.

Still works for me, too. Without more details about your equipment and the exact errors you're seeing, it's hard to offer any advice.

Thank you litzdog911. That's a more honest aware. Cheap shot sandblaster? No, not at all. DirecTV support and it's legion of minions pretending to support DirecTV are among the worst wagon circlers among any tech segment. There is no support and as evidence I offer the following chain above. "Works for me" isn't an answer. You didn't cite OS levels, installation steps, I doubt that you read my complete distribution (sans the correct query from litzdog911 where I failed to note: SWM network attached HR24-200).
And none of this should matter if we can't even get the iOS App to work on a 300Mb Starlink Connection. It does not work on 100mb Cox Connection. It does not work on 5G
Again. I've offered everything I know. You all are offering nothing. You're not helping. You're only making things worse. Like maybe it's cool to comment how yours is working fine, (Edited per community guidelines) to be you, but that is a word flex. Why do this if you don't care to help?

I've gotten a song and dance from support: do you have another device, our team is working on it, clear your cache, restart your computer.

The videoguard player V13 update that is called for when attempting to watch my DirecTV Satellite service on my computer online is stuck in an endless loop of calling for update, install, refresh, quit-restart browser, clear cache, shutdown, logout, login....and yet keeps asking for update...worked fine until this pushed update requirement. I am able to watch on iOS app.

Same results here jbrown782. My only workaround so far is running Windows in a VM environment on late edition macOS machines.
It never gets fixed as along as we say nothing and others volunteering to assist say it’s all working “just fine”.
It’s not fine. It doesn’t work.

Can we all agree that the player does not work under macOS or iOS? If someone has a different result please post proof of life for the App or Web Interfaces.
Can we also agree that there is no support for the player under macOS and iOS? That those that who claim “works for me” are more than likely using a Windows machine and are not reading what we are writing?

It was working fine on my 2018 Mac mini under macOS 11 Big Sur but after the update to macOS 12 Monterey I am in the loop as mentioned above and talking to AT&T support just gives you the same tag lines as mentioned above. So my only work around at this point is to open Directv on my 2010 iMac running macOS 10.13 High Sierra and watch my program via screen sharing. Now I can watch Programs on HBO Max on my 2018 Mac Mini running macOS 12 Monterey with no problem.

I always find it really frustrating when IOS updates and various things stop working. I try to wait 6 months or so after software is released so I don't have to be the guinea pig of everything that goes wrong.

Not sure Directv did anything, the player still on 13.0, but since recent slew of Mac OSX and Chrome updates I can now watch again on my Mac.
