MGM+

So sometime back we lost access to MGMHD without any compensation that I'm aware of and now its been rebranded MGM+ and added back but we would have to pay extra for it now. What a crock.

Actually, MGM+ was rebranded from EPIX and has nothing to do with regular MGM. So, it is completely normal to have to pay extra.

In other words, the Extra Movie Pack (that has MGM) did not grant you access to EPIX so why should it give you access to MGM+ (rebranded EPIX) ?

I’m just speaking the facts as a customer on a forum. If you want compensation or something, it won’t be received here.

Well no, it isn't really. We lost MGMHD and were not given anything for replacement. The rebranding from epix has nothing to do with this.

Too funny, has nothing whatsoever to do with the original above.

What are you talking about, it has everything to do with your original post. Per the terms of service, channels and programming are subject to change at anytime. Removing MGMHD was such a change. You don’t get compensation for that nor do they owe a replacement. MGM+ is not rebranded MGMHD, it’s rebranded Epix. Totally different animals.

No one here is from DIRECTV, we are all customers like you. If you don’t want the response, this isn’t the place for you...

The few employees on here have that fact stated in a box similar to the ACE box.

You can't convince me otherwise. Terms / schmerms got screwed by dtv when they removed MGMHD.

Typical directv response.

Oh, you mean factual information? You were just given factual information whether you like it or not. No one said you weren’t screwed by the removal of MGMHD, just that you aren’t due any compensation or replacement. That’s simply a fact. I guess I’m lucky, I know channels have come and gone over the years, I’ve just never lost a channel from my programming package that I actually watched.

Good for you then. Still got screwed by DTV for the channel removal.

Epix was rebranded MGM+ which was not a DirecTV decision. It is a separate channel from the MGM you referred to. So Epix/MGM+ was a subscription option to begin with that had nothing to do with the Movies Extra Pack (formally called HD Extra Pack). I understand that rebranding causes confusion, but that was a decision by the channel owner and not DirecTV.

Repsonses you have been given have factual to the situation. And this is by other customers, not DirecTV. Anyone who works for DirecTV has a tag identifying them as such, though only the forum help team is doing so in an official capacity. Those users tagged just as "employee" are posting on their personal time, so have more freedom in sharing their personal perspective.

You may not like the Terms of Service (ToS), but they apply to you just like everyone else. Sure it doesn't make it better that you don't have exactly what you want, but what was done was within rights (be it DirecTV or the channel owner). You are not guaranted ANY channel ever. That is the reality.
