Modifying 5GHz Channels - Direct TV WVB / Genie

Is there a way to change the 5GHz channel on the DirectTV wireless video bridge. I am seeing issues with interference with my incoming satellite radio channel for internet which is also on 5GHz. I do not have the option to change my satellite radio channel at this time which is why I'm asking if this is possible.

I don’t think that’s possible, sorry. In this case you’ll probably be better off with wired Genie clients.

Unfortunately the WVB sets a proprietary wireless network that is not designed to be modified. This is one of the reasons I prefer wired to avoid such interference, plus gives the option for HDDVRs (unless you have the Genie-2, model HS17, as that forbids everything but clients).

I figured that would be the case. Guess I'll have to see if the client prefers the wired option instead.

Thanks. @Juniper @detuch254

Wireless Genie mini clients are STRICTLY wireless. You can’t set them for wired since they don’t have a coaxial output. The only solution here is either a replacement wired Genie mini or a standalone HD/HDDVR receiver if your main Genie HD DVR isn’t an HS17.
