what is difference between watch online and watch TV?
No matter which I click, it appears I am only able to request to record on my home TV. I cannot play any show.
Hoping I'm missing something simple. Thanks

You cannot stream recordings from your DVR.
Online is similar to On Demand where you are watching what the channel has in their archive. It will not access what you have recorded.
If you have the 2nd generation Genie (HR44) or later, you can use MobileDVR to copy temporarily (30 days) to a mobile device (smart phone or tablet) for non-connected viewing.

Laptops/computers can only stream from the website the channels that are available using watch TV.
