Do you have DirecTV (the traditional satellite provider) or DIRECTV STREAM?

What programming package do you have?

Is the issue only with the NFL network's app itself?

Firestick the only device the issue occurs on?

Is the Firestick using the same internet connection as your other devices?

Direct tv traditional. I have the package with nfl network. Just the fire stick. Yes same connection 

Also it’s only on the nfl app

Does the same thing on my tablet as well

The NFL app doesn't work on either Firestick or tablet (what tablet?), but it works on the phone?

Can you log into the NFL Network's website with DirecTV as your provider?

This is rather a frustrating issue. Hopefully it can be narrowed down to where the issue is. Though at that point it may come down to needing a trouble ticket submitted to either DirecTV or the NFL Network (depending which side is originating the issue).

I can’t remember the package I got it a long time ago. The direct tv app work just fine on phone and tablet. I can watch nfl network there all day. The nfl app doesn’t work for phone tablet or fire stick 

If you log into your account or look at your bill it will say the exact name of the package. As there have been similar issues mentioned recently, trying to narrow down if it might just be affecting a certain package (or perhaps a grandfathered one).

As some devices work, that indicates DirecTV itself is authenticating ok. That to me would narrow down the NFL Network's app is having trouble on certain platforms. If so, then this needs to be reported to the NFL Network.

In the meantime, the devices that it has trouble with, I would try a few general troubleshooting steps. Reboot the devices, clear the cache, reinstall app, check for updates, etc. You could even try a reboot of your router and setup a fresh connection to see if something odd there wasn't syncing properly (unlikely, but this will cover all bases).

That’s a problem with NFL’s app and their communication with DIRECTV to verify your credentials. You’ve already tried all the troubleshooting I would suggest. NFL should be contacted about this. Be sure to specify an issue with the Fire Stick NFL app. 

If you bring this up with DIRECTV, they will try to sell you another receiver which will cost $7 per month. They want you to pay for every TV you have in the house and not use shortcuts like downloading each channel’s individual app on a streaming device.
