Are you trying to connect/stream/cast/airplay, etc. to a TV or other device, or is this directly on the phone? Rebooted phone, even pulled battery if not sealed version? Updated OS and app, or even fully reinstalled the app?

Directly on the app. I have 2 phones and it works on one and not the other. Rebooted phone, uninstalled app and reinstalled. Still only get audio. Check all the settings vs. Other phone and everything is the same....

The only time you should get audio only (no video) is if casting/airplay to a TV or such. Check your other apps to make sure nothing else running (even if in background, recently used) that may be tricking the DirecTV app into thinking that sort of connection is active.
If no other app interaction or conflict, then sounds like a software bug. What version of Android is being used and what model of phone? That may help narrow down a fix or at least what is causing the issue.

In addition to what @Juniper has helped you with.
We wanted to ensure that the mobile device and OS is compatible.
If you have other streaming apps on your phone, try uninstalling all of them along with the Directv app. Then try adding the Directv app by itself to see if it works.

The phone thats its working on is a samsung 8+....the phone that its not working on is a oneplus 7 pro...

Let's trying refreshing your DirecTV services on your main receiver. This will update your all your account permissions and can resolve some trouble inside the DirecTV app.
What OS version is your oneplus 7 pro on? And, are you experiencing any kind of error codes?
