On demand will not connect to the internet
I am getting the message "internet connection lost". When I select "reconnect now". I get the message "changes to internet settings cannot be made from this location".
I have contact tech support and have done all the troubleshooting steps the techs requested and neither tech was able to resolve the issue.
My internet is working fine. I can watch Netflix and Amazon prime movies with no problem. I am unable to watch On Demand on Direct TV because I cannot connect to the internet.

You have to go to the main Genie to reconnect to the internet.

Thank you so much. I disconnected my tv from the Mimi genie and plugged the HDMI cable from the main Genie into the back of the TV I was having the issue with. I had to reprogram the remote and go through a few steps but am now able to connect to the internet with no problem.
Why didn't the 2 tech support people I spoke with, know what "you cannot make changes to the internet from this location" ?? I kept asking them what that actually meant. One said the box needed to be replaced. The other one said it was an issue with my internet provider.
Again, thanks so much for your help.

Too many new and/or outsourced techs that don't understand the nuances of some equipment.
Main Genie connects to the internet, even if you have receivers instead of clients. Those clients are extensions of the main box which is why most settings are not adjusted on them.
You plugged the Genie into the other TV? Seems odd as the TV has no bearing on the internet connection. That should have been managed from the TV the Genie was already on.

Or they assumed that they have an HS17Genie2 that would have to allow minis to connect it to the internet.
