Over the air antenna

I am a DirecTV customer and never received the over the air antenna offer. How may I obtain one?

You have to have an HR44/54 Genie then call DTV and ask for the LCC device.

Hi @spike56! Thanks for reaching us.

Please create a detailed post from your profile and we'll get it from there to take a closer look at your request.

Thank you.

AFAIK there is no release date for the LCC or if they are still making them and you have to supply the OTA antenna to connect it to.

@spike56

The Local Channel Connector (LCC) is not a service wide offer. It has not been officially launched. It was only available in a couple test markets, as still in testing.

It was only available (limited) for those who were affected by carriage negotiations where the local affiliate turned of their feed. If I recall correctly, this was during the Nexstar affiliate owner and CBS (since they own some directly instead of run by affiliates) negotiations. Many requested, but only some got LCCs, so it is assumed that this ate up the limited stock.

The LCC is only compatible with the 2nd and 3rd generation Genies (HR44 and HR54), but not newer (and restrictive) Genie-2 (HS17). At this point we don't know if with testing issues and stocking problems if it has been delayed or perhaps completely given up on.

Alternatively, you can get your own antenna to connect to the TV set itself to get whatever is in range.
