I get the above message when trying to view direct tv on my chromebook  which I believe is running the latest version  108.0.5339.172 official build 64 bit.

Does your Chronebook have a feature for Google Play Store? Install the Play Store (or initialize it) onto your chrome book and then get the DIRECTV app.

I use the service on a Chromebook all the time. Works flawlessly. Are you using the app or the URL via the browser? I never use the app, but watch via the URL. The app has been erratic for years on a Chromebook. The URL is here

No, not at all. That’s an absurd solution. You shouldn’t bring your chromebook for repair because DIRECTV streaming doesn’t work! 

I suggest you answer @bcbsncjlj and also try the tip I suggested with installing the Google play store.

You are referring to the internet streaming service DirecTV Stream and not the satellite service DirecTV, correct?

I am running OS version "Version 108.0.5359.172 (Official Build) (64-bit)" on all my Chromebooks.

I can't imagine what they're planning to repair. I have 5 Chromebooks: 2-ASUS, 1-Lenovo, 1-ACER, and 1-Samsung. All running the same OS. No issues with any of them. Using the service, currently watching FOX NEWS. Never seen the message you are receiving.

If use the stream app audio is fine but the video freezes but the satellite service gives me the previous message or "hang on were signing you"

Huh? What has the satellite service got to do with the internet DirecTV Stream service? Do you have the satellite service or internet streaming service? They are different paid subscription services. This is the forum for the internet streaming service DirecTV Stream, not the satellite service.

I have  DirecTV (the satellite service) and have now downloaded the direct tv app for phone,table etc.It appears the internet service I have access to is showing an upload speed of 11 mbps which causes the video to freeze with audio ok

I am also having this issue. The DirecTV app through the google play store is awful - essentially unusable. Would love to be able to watch tv on my computer...
