Samsung 6 series is not listed as supported??

I bought a Samsung 50”3D Plasma TVPN50C680G5FAfter doing some research online I found out that the Samsung 6 series is not listed as supported by DIRECTV. Why? What do the 7 series have that the 6 series does not?

My DVR is not 3D Capable either It’s a HR20-700, so I have no way to test it. Has anyone tested 3d with this TV?

Did I buy a lemon?

3D is very new and there are different types of signal delivery out there. Newer sets can use a number of different flavors. A lemon would indicate a flawed manufacture. You have an older, incompatible device. That's a different thing entirely.

A lemon to me would be something I can't use. Anyway, after looking around i found this older post from this fourm.

That comfirms someone got a Samsung 4 series to work. So there is hope my lemon might make great three dimensional lemonade.

Did you get it to work?  I just ordered the Samsung PN58C680 and I am concerned that it will not work with the DTV 3d channels.

The Samsung PN58C680 just was released in August so why would it be an older incompatible device?  The 3D channels were added to Directv in June.

I can confirm that it works perfectly with the DirecTV 3D channels. As long as you have the HR21 or higher receiver. I really don't know why its not on the list? Maybe they should add it?
