satellite subscription needs Amazon Firestick DirecTV App
Hi,
I have the satellite subscription to DirecTV with 3 rental boxes. I know I can watch DirecTV with my Iphone or Samsung phone or tablet.
Do you have a DirecTV App that I can use with my Amazon Firestick to my 40" flat panel TV that I can enter my user login for the Satellite subscription????
I have tried the ATT app that is on the Firestick and it is for a separate $59 internet streaming subscription to DirecTV.
thanks,

DTV is not a streaming service so there is no need for a streaming app. To get DTV on that TV it needs its own DTV receiver connected to it.

Yes, it is streaming to phones or tablets. You could keep your main DVR box but would not have to pay extra monthly fees for the separate receiver boxes and use it just like on your Tablet if the App worked on the Firestick.

You're saying that this app:
https://www.amazon.com/DIRECTV-for-Fire-Tablets/dp/B00HEVAHAQ
for FireOS tablets doesn't work on Fire TV / Cube / Stick. Let's look at the whys and wherefors on that.
DIRECTV pays its content providers by the number of TV screens you can watch, i.e. an outlet charge. They control this by requiring a receiver for each one. If you could watch DIRECTV on a TV without a receiver, without a charge, well then... you'd be sure do so. And DIRECTV would be in violation of its agreements with the content provider.

DirecTV doesn't have rental boxes. They are 'leased'. The difference is there is no rental monthly cost. You are paying for each authorized TV regardless of what box, owned or leased, or even if no box at all (i.e. RVU Client/DirecTV Ready TV).
There is no DirecTV app on TV streaming devices. This is by design. Since that would avoid paying for that authorized TV, it is not allowed. DirecTV is not a streaming service. So their streaming perks are secondary for use only on the mobile device itself (so casting/airplay to TV is also not allowed).
Sorry but you are not going to get a free additional TV on the service. You pay for each TV as you are not renting the boxes.

When I was considering getting the AT&T service for the DIRECTV service the guy at the AT&T store told me that you could use a smart TV app with the AT&T service. And that you were limited up to five connections. That’s basically why I was asking if there was something similar for the DIRECTV service.

As we have said no there is no DTV app for any streaming device, the only app for DTV is for streaming to mobile devices.

DirecTV doesn't have a "smart" TV app for the reasons as above.
There are some TVs that are "DirecTV Ready". Essentially they have an RVU Client built-in which serves the same purpose as a Mini Genie Client. Service is authorized through the main Genie receiver, instead of it have a dedicated receiver box. Still pay $7 a month as you are paying for the authorized TV on the service.
The DirecTV Ready/RVU Client TV is not suggested. It is dependent on the TV maker providing any needed updates, which they are usually not timely with. Plus they normally are slower as using the TV's processing instead of the dedicated box. And if/when the TV's client becomes incompatible, then you would need to get a DirecTV box anyway.
Since monthly cost is the same regardless of how connected, personally I go with a dedicated HDDVR. Get more bang for your buck that way. Except those that have the Genie-2 (HS17) as that forbids everything but Clients.

Is the AT&T tv (Directv) app on the Amazon AppStore a different service than a subscriber with dedicated receivers per authorized tv’s?

DirecTV and AT&T TV are 2 different TV services that AT&T owns.
DirecTV is service by satellite. It is not a streaming provider, though it has some secondary perks for mobile devices or if the box is connect to internet. It is not a streaming service, so no app for TV.
AT&T TV is more of a streaming based service. Use their own box or download the app on a compatible box.
