Sharing Internet through MacBook pro

I don't have a way to connect my H21 directly to the router so I'm just sharing a connection on my Mac's Ethernet port. I've got it all setup so that my wifi signal is shared to devices connected to my Ethernet. I ran the test and it said I was connected to the Internet on the directv box but when I try to use my iPad app it doesn't find the receiver at all.

On your H21 press and hold the info button, then select more system info.  Scroll down and confirm the Internet shows as connected.  If it does, try resetting the iPad and try again.

I was reading the other post and looks like it won't work since the MacBook pro is giving my receiver a different ip address. My iPad is 192.168.0.197 but my receiver is showing 192.168.2.2. Don't think it'll find the receiver since I don't have a way to directly plug the receiver into the router.

Good troubleshooting.  The Mac has assigned a different sub net so it would never work.  All the devices must be on the same network/sub net.  I'm assuming you found that the H21 was not actually connecting to the Internet.
