Spanish Commercials
Recently Spanish Commercials have been appearing on the network. This is America and English is our language NOT SPANISH. There are channels for Spanish which is where these commercials should appear. I do not want to be forced to watch any commercials in a foreign language.

While AT&T can/does insert some commercials, in all likelihood the commercials you are seeing are coming from the content provider like that.
For someone to go to the expense of airing a commercial, it seems unlikely that they would air that commercial with Spanish audio unless there were a significant number of Spanish-speaking residents in the coverage area. Apparently that business sees value in reaching such customers.

DTV/AT&T have no control over what a channel does with its programing including what commercials they send them.

Well English is no longer the sole language of our country. Hence the requirement of many areas and government offices to have information and rules listed in Spanish. So there are enough spanish speaking viewers in the country, or at least in targeted areas, for the channel owners to include such commercials.
But nobody is forcing you to watch those commercials. Mute the TV, change the channel, pause live TV or record in advance so you can fast forward through them, etc. The only one who can force you to watch it is yourself.

The official language of this country is English. If you want to live here then I suggest you learn the language. When someone wants to become an American they take the time to learn English so they can communicate with their fellow citizens. There are channels for those who speak Spanish which is where these commercials should be. We are being forced to accept people into this country with no regard to established laws for immigration. This will destroy our country as we know it because hard-working Americans will be forced to support these people. This further forces changes on us we do not want. Obviously, it is no longer Americans first.

There is no official language of the United States. Citizenship ceremonies have been held in languages other than English.
While I agree that a unified language helps a nation's cohesiveness, that doesn't mean that we have to be hostile to the use of others or to those who are more comfortable with other languages. I hope you are never in a foreign land and have to find your way around with people who won't speak English.
The commercials you find so offensive are a choice by one or more businesses to aid them in marketing their product. If you find this offensive, then I wouldn't do business with the advertiser.

Well learning English would be wise for this country, nothing requires anybody learn it to the point it is their sole or primary language. America is larger than a lot of traditional countries, plus is built upon immigration, so multiple languages and dialects across the country will be common.
There is no law that says they must conform as you request. And immigrants have been some of the hardest working people I have meant as they are making a life in a new country. Please leave the bigotry in ye olde days of yore where it belongs.
