Switching from direct TV to streaming AT&T now

I was told when signing up for direct TV that once we get our internet set up that we can save $14 per month.  Not sure what this meant.  We are not getting internet through direct tv.  Was wondering can we switch to streaming now that we have high speed internet?  We have a 2 year contract.  Thanks. You'll have to pay an early termination fee  (etf) since the services are separate and non transferable

Agent explained badly.

DirecTV (satellite) and AT&T TV NOW (streaming-only, what used to be called DIRECTV NOW), are two different TV providers owned by AT&T. They have nothing to do with each other.

There is no transferring between them. You would be canceling one to have the other (or choosing to have both). If you are still under agreement with DirecTV, you pay an early cancellation fee (ECF) valued at $20 for each month remaining.
