The SAME commercials over and over
I don't use on demand anymore because I lose my mind at the same commercials playing over and over. The woman climbing the cigarette mountain, the lung scan, breast cancer, then I really lose it when I hear "never gonna let you go" song playing with the idi@t who can't put down his phone... I want to throw my phone at the TV. For God sake, at least change up the commercials we are FORCED to watch. Until then I'll just have to not watch shows I've missed.

Annoying for sure but it’s not Directv doing that, it is the on demand provider.

DTV doesn't have any control over what a channel does with their On Demand content or their broadcasted programming and that includes ads.

Only the networks have any control over the ads that play. They treat On Demand just like their website (since both is from online) so that FF/REW are disabled and only certain ads have online licensing so is more repetitive.
Do a roommate's binge watching recently, the "never going to let you go" phone commercial was reaching torturous levels. Not muting because doesn't want to miss anything when the commercial is over because of the FF/REW that the network disabled. Fine if they do that on their own website, but they should not have right to do that on my DirecTV equipment.
