To those who have the new guide

For those lucky people who already have the new guide, I was wondering if you could post what receiver you have and what location you are in. I have a h23-600 and a h21-100R in tulsa and would like to know if anyone with either of these two receivers have received the update yet.

That information won't be useful.  This update is not rolling out on any sort of "geographic" or "model number" sequence.  It seems to be pretty random.

That information will be useful to me. How could you know what I want. If you don't have an appropriate response don't reply.

much better than telling me my request wasn't useful. I may be wrong  but isn't a DMA a geographic location?

The only general rollout so far is in the Las Vegas DMA. If we know any more we will post it.  But you will "get it when you get it"!!

This is an open forum.  You post your question, you get your answers.  You can choose to accept or reject any advice you get.  The one thing you don't get to do is to tell another user not to post.  This thread belongs to all of us, you have no ownership claim.

It's pretty obvious you are very anxious to get the software and are seeking whatever info you can.  Litzdog was pointing out that knowing where a person was located may well not furnish you the info you are obviously seeking.  Keeping a nice friendly approach makes all of this a lot more fun.

In an attempt to help, I asked the Directv rollout contact where Tulsa fell in the scheme of things.  He wasn't sure (he was real busy at the time), but he estimated hopefully before Christmas.

Sorry if it came across "offensive" somehow, but I stick with my original response.  It doesn't matter where or when other folks are getting the update.  You'll get it when you get it.  Try to somehow track this thing across the country will only lead to more frustration when you don't have it but your neighbor's do.  We see this all the time when cool new features roll out and folks get frustrated because they were at the tail end of the process.

I was not offended as I don't get offended. In the future I'll ask you if my question matters first so I can save time.

After reviewing numerous responses by "Tech Guides" to posters asking questions, a complaint has been filed with Directv. We don't come here to be belittled and ridiculed for asking what are important question to us. No need responding I have logged out of this forum.
