If it is the 2nd generation Genie (HR44), once turned off you cannot get it back. This is the last box with a phone jack, but the 1st model to get the new software that removes outdated and no longer supported software.
If it is the 1st gen Genie (HR34) or earlier boxes, which stay on the old software, then go into the Extras section of your menu and the Caller ID settings should be listed.

If it's a genie you can't. Directv no longer supports caller id. Once you switch it off, it's gone forever.
