Tv/ internet
We just built an outdoor cantina and want to have a tv but our internet does not reach that far. How can we have WiFi and tv out there? Basic question I’m sure but not sure what we need? Could we run our direct tv cable from our inside box? Get a hotspot? Just not sure. Not tech savvy lol

The hotspot, cellular tower connection, that allows you to move the device as needed, such as taking a vacation, RVing, etc... anywhere can receive a good cell tower connection.
Another bill, but perhaps could bundle services to save a little...

It’s about 125-150ft. As soon as you step onto the patio area where it is, you lose your internet connection.

That far you either need coax or another dish if you don't have a Genie.

If you have a Genie (HR34, HR44, HR54/HR54R1), or even the Genie Lite (H44), you can have another dish for a detached building. Though some agents are balking at placing an order, so you do need to just get an additional TV (with a HDDVR, not a Client) without mentioning the building so tech has to deal with it on site.
It is the Genie-2 (HS17) that forbids anything but clients on the account. That is the only one that prevents an additional dish setup.

typically rg11 cable will run more than that distance with no issues. RG6 SOLID COPPER CORE will usually work. That solves the directv issue.. And for internet, just run an ethernet cable from your router. Or look into the various ways of extending your wireless coverage.

At that distance, depending on what is being done, then cat6 may be needed instead of cat5 for the Ethernet cable. Something to consider if you go wired.
