Two Direct TV local channels have blackouts.

What exactly do you mean by "blackout"? Is the channel going blank for several seconds, an error message showing up, or something else?

What are the models of each box you have and which ones are experiencing the problem?

Are you connected direclty to the TV by HDMI?

Verify HDMI is secure on both ends and free of debris.

Do not use a 'smart' power strip as finicky with DirecTV equipment.

If TV has HDMI-CEC, check that it is off.

Red button reset the box.

If 'smart' TV, check for any firmware/software updates.

Unplug power from TV for a minute or two (as doesn't have reset button).

thank you, it’s getting late here in CA so I will give it a try tomorrow.   will follow up with result.   

Following as I'm having same issue. Was sent new DVR. Didn't resolve the problem.
