I have many DVR's and one Genie. They all give me the 927 error code. when trying to download movies from any source other than Network stations HBO, Stars etc.

For your topic "type of receiver" the model is inside the access card door or on a label on the bottom. That will tell you what type of HDDVR and/or Genie you have.
For the 927 error:
What is your programming package?
What channel are you trying to download from?
What have you tried already to fix the problem?
Any other issues?
