Was there a system problem during Super Bowl XLIV causing pixelation?

All during the halftime show and 2nd half of the game, the picture constantly pixelated and cut out. Many times 25% to 50% of the pciture was blurred out. There wasn't any inclimate weather during the game, radar showed clear skies. Compared the picture to over the air broadcast on a different TV, picture was crystal clear. Nothing was obstructing my DISH receiver outside, so I'm at a loss on why this happened during the big game. This of course affected the recording of the game and halftime show and made that worthless. The pixelation also occurred Monday evening on multiple channels.

Southern IL customer here and I had the same awful pixelated broadcast as you are describing. Went to ESPN after the game and noticed the highlights were perfect quality. Unacceptable for the biggest game of the year.

I’m also in southern Illinois. I did not experience any pixelation.

This occurred in southwest Ohio. So it sounds like some regions had the problem and some didn't. I was very disappointed with the picture quality...my contract is up so it may be time to look for a different provider.

DTV has no control over the signal sent to them that they rebroadcast over the sats, this is the same for all providers.
