What is LCC?

I have two Over The Air local channels show up on my guide I’ve never had before. But when I select them I get a message saying LCC is not connected. I do t know what that is? Can you help me? I do have an outdoor tv antenna but it’s hooked up to a separate box

Just an FYI to everyone, the LCC does NOT work with the newest Genie 2.  For some reason they decided to make a product that was not compatible with their newest system.

@hines86fan

The antenna must be plugged into a power adapter.

And then again, the LCC must be plugged into its own power adapter.

Is that what improved the weaker signals on some channels?

And then, without running antenna setup and searching for new channels, it worked? Hooray!!!

@kitnbob I didn't use the flat antenna that came with the LCC but rather an attic mounted unit with a signal booster.  My issue had been the inability for my HR44 Genie to acknowledge and setup the LCC.  For years I had used an AM21 with the HR44 without issue. So I disconnected the nonfunctioning LCC, reset the HR44, and attached the AM21. After the HR44 powered up I was able to fully configure the HR44 - AM21 combo as I had done in the past. I then powered the HR44 off, pulled its plug, removed the AM21, installed the LCC  (with its power adapter ) then plugged the HR44 power back in.

The LCC was now recognized and all the OTA channels were still available from when the AM21 had been attached.  Prior to this I had no success with the Genie recognizing the LCC.  Very strange but true ,)

So the stations that are being picked up are the ones that the TV company wants you to see cause with my LCC hooked up I can only get 1 solid number station like 10 but can't get 10-2,10-3 and so on any answers on that would be great

So I see this is all a few years old. I have an HR54 Genie. I use an LCC which works "okay", I get a handful of channels. But in order to get more channels, I need to find a way to extend the OTA antenna into my attic where I am sure a lot more channels can be picked up. The LCC antenna can only reach about 15 feet. Any suggestions on how to get it extended?

Use an F81 barrel nut to extend the coax.

I need to know how to manage my Winegard HDTV antenna? I only get a few stations, and the rest give me a troubleshooting option, but doesn't, tell how to troubleshoot the issue. Help?

@Fedup59

I would start a new thread as this one is from back in 2019 about the LCC accessory which is not Winegard.

Winegrard supplied the flat antenna for the LCC.
