They aren't taking away all your channels. That is not the situation.

TV provider and channel owner's agreement has come up. The local affiliate is using a common "scare tactic" threatening they are going away. The reality is that if an agreement isn't reached by the deadline that the local affiliate can choose to stay on as a sign of good faith for continued negotiations, or to pull the feed away from DirecTV to use us customers as leverage to raise costs. Locals are doing this more often in recent years with all TV providers.

I say use a regular over-the-air (OTA) antenna to get their free broadcast. Personally I didn't go to pay TV for my free locals, but all the other channels.

DirecTV is not "taking away" any channels.  Only the corporation that owns the station can do that. They want more $$$.  Switching providers won't help because this is happening to all of them when contracts must be renewed. Doesn't make sense that we have to pay anything for FREE off-air channels.

If Directv doesn’t get channel 24 back pretty quickly I WILL switch to another provider.

Here we go again another station off air.  Make sure  to ask for credit on your bills if they ever settle this crap!

To be fair, we don’t really know if the station owners are asking for more money. They could just be willing to repeat the previous agreement and it could be ATT/Directv wanting to pay less. Seeing as ATT is trying to sell those TV businesses, I think that’s a distinct possibility.

@terrylsipes56_ Going back to Dish or switching to any other provider won’t insulate you from this. This happens to every tv provider. Historically, I believe Dish gets channels pulled more often than Directv. In my local market, the local FOX and CW channel are currently warning their Dish customers they may be losing those channels.

Ive been on hold forever with AT&T to get a credit on my bill.  Does anyone have a good phone number for this issue?  On line isn't much help.

This issue should've been taken care of long before it got this far!   Perfect WAY TO LOSE CUSTOMERS!

My sister has had Comcast in the Indy market for as long as I’ve had ATT U-Verse: she has NEVER lost a local channel. WTHR is gone and now FOX 59 and WTTV are slated for Wednesday. This is (Edited per community guidelines). This is why I pay a huge amount of money monthly. I want to turn on my TV and there it is vs all the (Edited per community guidelines) hoops you need to jump through to watch via apps.
