Why am I still being billed after cancelling service months ago?

I cancelled my service months ago. It was repeatedly getting turned off because we had a discrepancy. Then they would turn it back on. Then turn it off.. I would pay then all over again. I finally had enough and canceled. I turned my equipment in almost two months ago. I got a bill today for service through March 26. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! HORRIBLE SERVICE AND OBVIOUSLY INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEES

Depends when you called to cancel. Per the Terms of Service that updated over a year ago, you pay for the full service month. So even if you cancel a day or 2 into your service cycle, you pay for the entirety of it. Check the details of the bill, in particular the dates it is for.

Also check to see if it mentions "final bill" or a "sorry to see you go" type of notice on it. Even if you paid for your full service months there might be final charges such a early cancellation fee (ECF) if you still had time on a service agreement, or unbilled PPVs if any were found sitting on the access cards of the returned boxes.

If after checking the dates and possible final charges to clear the account it still seems to not be correct, then you will need to call DirecTV to discuss the bill. As you mention "almost two months ago" then most likely is that the bill is for the full service month, not prorated to the day you chose to stop using it.

Per the terms in the new TOS you pay for and receive service until the end of the billing cycle.
