Why can't I get any sound from my DirectTV receiver nor my LGTV?
I have now spent three days trying to get any noise from either device to absolutely no avail? Is there anyone who can help me? My television will only connect to get picture and to be able to communicate with the satelite on HDMI2.

DVR/Receiver model number?
How is the DVR/Receiver connected to your TV? DirecTV HDMI cable?
Have you tried a different HDMI cable?
Can you try a different TV HDMI INPUT?
Does that HDMI INPUT provide audio when connected to a different device, like a DVD Player?
Can you try connecting this DVR/Receiver to a different TV as a test?

I am staying in a motel at the moment as an assistant manager and both of us have tried everything possible to try and get this box to talk to us. Every other unit connects via HDMI1 with ours and one other unit connecting via HDMI2 however, ours is the only unit that cannot get ANY sound!
