4K channels on DirectTV
I cannot find a list of shows or events that are or will be available in 4K on channels 104, 105, 106 1104. No help from DIrectTV by phone or the website. Hard to see if it is worth getting the newer receiver.

The only 4K content is PPV movies, some sports and documentaries. You need an HR54 Genie or the HS17 Genie2 and a C61K mini or the new C71KW to get the 4K channels.

I discussed the requirements with DTV and while the new receivers will not cost us anything, it requires a 2 year commitment. I would like to see what shows are on the 4K channels including which sport events as it would be nice to see them on our 70" TV.

Keep in mind that 4K only goes through the Client connection. That means you lose the freedoms and extra capability of a full receiver on that TV. If you already have a Genie setup and are not adding a TV, then no change to total monthly cost.
Personally, I find the 4K content a bit limited. And I certainly will not sacrifice a full receiver and the additional tuners for a Client.
