4K upscaling

I'm paying extra for 4 K upscaling yet the picture quality is still poor. I'm talk 1/2 inch size pixels. If my 4K DVD player can upscal to a great picture in real time then why not DirecTVs DVR? My Son has a 65" TV using cable and the picture is excellent. So why isn't yours? I've had numerous service repair people chabge my DVR , check the line to my house and check satellite alignment with no change in quality. This is causing me to really think about my situation. As I said before, if this issue still persists after football season ends then I may be forced to change to cable!

DirecTV does not charge for 4K. It is part of the service, provided you have the correct equipment. It is actual 4K, not upscaling.

There are only a few channels in 4K. The non-4K channels are not upscaled to 4K.

What are the models of every box you have? Which one is on the 4K TV? What channel number were you on?
