CAN'T CONNECT TO NBC SPORTS DUE TO IDP.DTVCE.COM ERROR
I am a Directv subscriber and this morning I am getting this error when trying to watch nbc olympics

Internet applications and web sites to access DIRECTV are not going to work until they update the certificate.

Seems like something a BIG company like Directv would do automatically... but hey I am just retired..... :)

Letting a certificate expire like this is definitely an "asleep at the wheel" moment. Most orgs have monitoring that would notice a cert about to expire and warn someone. The certificate issuer would normally contact someone about renewing.
This may be an unfortunate consequence of the spinoff of DIRECTV from the AT&T corporate entity... no one may have been able to spend money to get a new certificate, or the certificate issuer was not willing to issue a cert for an organization that's a few days old.
UPDATE: the life of this cert was 15 months. That's an odd period. Normally it's an integer number of years.

Everybody should be getting the message. As explained the certificate expired. Until it is renewed, possibly by the recent spin-off, it will not work.
