Direct tv source has disappeared
We were watching a dvd. Then went to turn it back to the direct tv source and it has disappeared making us unable to watch tv.

Most likely you have to use the input/source button on the TV remote to find the DTV input.

What do you mean your DirecTV (not Direct TV) source "disappeared"?
Using the INPUT/SOURCE button, you should be able to go back to the input DirecTV is plugged into. Depends on your TV on how it lists if you could fully name it (DirecTV), type of device (satellite, cable, game console, etc.), or just the TV's default listing (HDMI-1, HDMI-2, A/V, etc.).
