In trying to fix some problems with accessing DVR recordings using the old app (Directv Satelite), I deleted the app on my IPad. Now, it is unavailable on the Apps Store. The new app will not allow access to my DVR recordings and DirectV technical support has not been able to help. I’ve been fairly happy with DIRECTV, but is it time to switch?
This is a bug that everyone is facing in the newer app. If you can’t wait for it to be fixed then be my guest and switch. This is a public forum full of customers just like you so we don’t mind if you cancel😉
The old DirecTV app is not available anymore. The new app to be used for both DirecTV and DIRECTV STREAM has a lot of growing pains right now, so not all former features are available. Hopefully this will be fixed in the forseable future.
Though remember, DirecTV is first and foremost service by satellite. Any streaming services, are secondary. Though perhaps the new co-owner can find a way to better support the satellite service with those perks that AT&T wasn't able to.
