Not Authorized

Direct TV dropped NBC. When I try to use the NBC app, I get a message that says, "We're sorry.  You are not authorized to access this content in your region because of programming rights restrictions.  Please contact Direct TV for more information."  If NBC isn't on Direct TV anymore, why am I being restricted from watching NBC on their app? Since when can Direct TV stop me from using an app that has nothing to do with them? Just because you dropped the network doesn't give you the right to restrict me from watching it elsewhere. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Switching to Spectrum will only help until they're stung by similar contract disputes. Nobody is immune.

Thank you, Direct TV for reaching a solution with TEGNA in the Portland, Maine area.  I'm able to watch NBC again!  I almost gave up, but you came through. 😊

Glad this one is resolved. Wonder how much time until the next one (be it Tegna or someone else).
