Neither, I am just trying to download an app on the tv. There is no requirement to be a subscriber of any app just to download an app on any tv. (I will be signing up for a free trial once the app download and install).
Then you are (or about to be) a customer of DIRECTV STREAM as only they have a free trial. DirecTV (satellite) has no free trial.
It is supposed to support Google TV devices, but I understand some of them have issues that other streaming devices don't have. I would verify that your TV has all software/firmware updates it should.

Can't install DIRECTV
Try again, and if it still doesn't work, see common ways to fix the problem
