Why is DTV channel 1205 missing?
About two weeks ago we can no longer get Channel 1205(Sports) channel. On demand channel 1000 is missing also. These were very useful channels. What happened? No warning! They just disappeared with "Channel not available".

Even if everything else works, the connection between DirecTV and your router may not be in sync. So doing a reset on both ends covers all bases to be sure. Sometimes the issue could be the router even if only one device is affected.
Also refresh service authorizations www.directv.com/refresh as a final self-check. If after all that it still doesn't work, then I would call DirecTV.

Channels in the 1000s are On Demand that get by having the setup connect to internet.
What models are your boxes?
Do they each have the issue?
Are you still connected to internet?
Have you tried any troubleshooting at all (such as red button reset)?

Rcvr HR44/500, Genie Directv C42-700. Wireless wifi setup is good. Red button reset done. Problem still exists. What next?

On the Genie (HR44): Menu > Settings > Internet > Advanced and reset network defaults. Red button reset and/or pull power for a minute if needed. Reboot modem > router (or mode/router combo unit). After all that, setup the network connection again. Give it up to 48hrs and see if the channel populate.
As a note that Mini Genie Client is most likely a C41 or C41W as there is no C42.

You're correct. It is a C41-700. I'll reset the wifi router but all other devices work correctly. I'm using it to type this message. Now I guess I need to wait 48 hours.
