There's no reason why they can't give us grandfather the counts the option to add extra streams I've been lied to over and over by this company before it switched to DirecTV streams they told me once it switched then I would get 20 streams at home three away from home and they knew that I had a grandfathered account when I first started with this service I was around $35 a month now I'm reaching 100 a month they should write a book and call it DirecTV streams The Book of Lies

Grandfathered, whether it means the whole account or just the package, normally means no new options will ever be allowed. That includes adding any new licensing that may be required for new streams.
So it is not that there is no reason, just no reason you will like. You either stay with your grandfathered status or cancel the account and start a new one with current options.
