If that channel is very important to you then fair enough looking into other provider options. There is not one TV provider perfect for everyone so absolutely go where fits you best.
To be safe, I would verify if you have time left on a service agreement with DirecTV as channel/programming changes does not waive it. Value is $20 for each month remaining if you have one. That way you can make an informed decision before starting a new provider. (Heard too many complaints on this forum and other places where someone went with another provider and then found out about ECF when they went to cancel and it was too late to back out and do so later, be it DirecTV or something else).
And thank you for weighing your opinion in the discussion with a sense of maturity. It is fresh to see a post without an ultimatum that does nothing, false threat, or other such tantrum.

AT&T/DirecTV did not drop Bloomberg. Carriage agreement came up so they were negotiating the next one. Bloomberg played hard ball by pulling the feed instead of leaving on during negotiations (as is their right). Unfortunately since TV provider did not cave into channel's demands (which would have been even higher bills for us customers), negotiations have ceased for now. Might be back one day, perhaps not.
So if you cannot live without Bloomberg then go somewhere else. Or just go without TV as no provider can guarantee that every channel will always be there. That is why there is a clause with all of them that channels are subject to change at any time.

I can confirm that Bloomberg is back on U-Verse on channel 222 and in HD on channel 1222.
Usually, I'm not a fan of closing threads "just because" but in order to prevent future headaches, this will be closed.
