NBC
Saw a sign on NBC that there is a possibility that NBC may be dropped from Uverse TV. Negotiations are not going well between AT&T and NBC. This is our favorite channel. If it is dropped we will not have a choice but to go to another service provider.

Yeah well when nbc is finished negotiations with At&t they enter into negotiations with charter,Comcast, dish, frontier. No provider is safe from it
While AT&T employees do look at forum posts from time to time, we are here to represent the forum with our experiences as customers and do not represent AT&T in any official capacity with our responses and do so on our own time unpaid and off the clock. As employees we are not rewarded nor compensated to participate in these forums This forum is comprised of regular customers to communicate with other customers to offer advice and share experiences same as any other user Although there is a small team of customer care specialists that monitor the forums the sheer volume of posts are simply too many posts for these agents to respond to each one of them.

Your local NBC affiliate Station Owner is the one that will deny AT&T the right to carry the channel. I suggest that you also tell them that you're unhappy about the situation, as they are the one in the best position to rectify it quickly.

JefferMC- That's funny because the WTHR/NBC is telling us to complain to AT&T that is your fault that we don't have our favorite channel! With a pandemic going on, winter and and not much to do TV is the one joy we have. And my favorites are all on NBC! I can't watch Today Show, The Voice, I missed the Rockefeller Christmas special....and if this is not figured out by the time This is Us returns there is going to be a riot. The two parties need to come to an agreement ASAP!! Switching providers will only move the issue down the line and is a huge pain for the customer!

WTHR is a local news channel. You can still receive local news via other TV channels. You can probably receive WTHR newscasts via their website and social media outlets. An antenna is another option.
You can watch many NBC shows via the Peacock app, which is available for free.
It is not jeffer's fault you cannot get something for free.

Yeah but I can’t use my DVR which I do with most of the shows I watch. If they drop NBC I will have to switch. 😡

Here are three options:
1. Use an antenna to get OTA stations free.
2. Use the networks streaming app. In this case, Peacock TV.
3. See if locast is available in your market. Use the Interactive button on your remote.
If, none of those work for you, I don't know what else to tell you.

Don't mess with old people. The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

You can switch again, but:
1) Remember that this sort of stuff happens with all providers, and
2) You may have to pay an Early Termination Fee if you're under an agreement that carries one.

I just saw a message on Twitter from an hour ago from KSDK- Channel 5 in St. Louis that an agreement had been reached between Tegna and AT&T. I turned on a television, and sure enough, KSDK-Channel 5 was back on the air.
