When are you going to resolve the problem with TEGNA?
When are you going to resolve the problem with TEGNA? It's disrupting my service in watching WFSS (channel 8 - ABC) in my area. Customers should not have to deal with the petty problems between Uverse and TEGNA. Work it out or lose a long time subscriber.

I think there is some misinformation. Here is a write-up in Wiki on the subject. Bottom-line, if they carry one they are required to carry all. My opinion is that if the local affiliate is at an impasse and pulls their programming then DTV should, as required, turn on the National station. In the case of CBS it would be DTV station 390 / 391.

I ask that everyone send a letter or email to the FCC, and your Senators and Congressmen. Ask them to re-institute the FCC "Must Carry" rules. This requires "cable" providers to carry local Over The Air channels and prohibits the local stations from charging for re-transmission rights. This would put a permanent end to these types of Contract Negotiation related outages, like the TEGNA outage. The FCC "Must Carry" rules were suspended when the FCC mandated the switch from Analog to Digital transmission. It is time the FCC "Must Carry" rules are re-instituted.
Everyone also please log into your AT&T account on-line. When I logged into my account, it offered me a $20 credit because of the current situation with 2 Atlanta channels being removed during the TEGNA negotiations. So collect your bill credit.

I can login and edit any wiki why would you believe anything wiki states anyone is capable of editing wiki
While AT&T employees do look at forum posts from time to time, we are here to represent the forum with our experiences as customers and do not represent AT&T in any official capacity with our responses and do so on our own time unpaid and off the clock. As employees we are not rewarded nor compensated to participate in these forums This forum is comprised of regular customers to communicate with other customers to offer advice and share experiences same as any other user Although there is a small team of customer care specialists that monitor the forums the sheer volume of posts are simply too many posts for these agents to respond to each one of them.

Good luck with that buddy. The Must Carry rules are founded in US Federal Law and the Wiki article is accurate. Stop diverting. DTV could cut out the local affiliate by using the national and cause them back to the table. The point is the carriers are required to provide all local programing or be in violation.

This is very disappointing and poor planning on AT&T / Direct TV just like with any other contract, you have to come to a middle ground that is best for you and first and foremost your customers. My father watches many shows on channel 11. Our options are simple, we will find him another solution for his television needs.
please take this seriously to resolve quickly.

I’m disgusted that I still cannot watch CBS in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. (Edited per community guidelines) it up AT&T or give us the NFL access package that you peddle. This is unacceptable given the ridiculous increases in price since being in the first group of your Internet TV. What’s the deal?! Enough is enough! We deserve a monthly discount at minimum for screwing us over. What’s the deal!?

PLEASE resolve the contract dispute ASAP!!! I am PAYING to receive WUSA 9, my only CBS channel that carries some of my favorite shows, but because of the contract problem, I cannot receive them! So frustrating! We HAVE to be at home because of COVID, we should at least be able to watch CBS when we want to!

Direct TV removed channel 5 (CBS) programming after posting that they had not reached an agreement. This is upsetting.
They (Direct TV) obviously keeps charging the same fee eventhough they removed channels from the line-up. Lost all football, all series and my beloved Jeopardy!!! Right Now that kind of entertainment is basically the best we can have to stay home and safe!!
I am not a happy camper!!

On your website tvpromise.com you have a message about a credit due to that removal of the Tegna channel. I click the link and sign on however there is no place I can see or click to request the credit. I don’t understand the purpose of even offering it but requiring customers to ask for it. Then we sign on and there is no clear indication of how to request it. It seems as a matter of consideration, service and goodwill ATT would automatically credit all affected account holders. If not auto then @ a minimum make it easy to find the information via the web link. Also I find it odd that yesterday there was a message about using them Locast app via the Go interactive then today I go back and no mention of the Locast app nor even the app available or present to view anyway. Fortunately I just used my own APPLE Tv which will make it even easier for me to cut the ATT cable cord sooner than later given these type of channel lapses.

the CBS Channel 5 in San Antonio TX was removed from the line up. they (Direct TV) posted a statement that they (Direct TV) could not settle and agreement with t CBS to keep the programming going. The app for Kens5 (CBS) has a posting saying they tried to negogiate but Direct TV was not willing to agree. To make a long story short as a customer there is not much to do. Obviously Direct TV will not lower the price eventhough I do not have the same line up. I hope this gets resolved. Lost the football games the best series and Jeopardy!! Right now thistype of entertainment is what we need to keep safe at home.
Not happy!!

Well that Wiki is misleading. DirecTV cannot turn on the DNS channel. Required waiver from local affiliate for those that didn't have an equivalent local or proved they could not get the OTA broadcast. However the STELAR Act that allowed DNS expired earlier this year per successful lobbying by the local affiliates. The locals have restricted how they and where they may be watched and TV providers are tired of the high cost to do so.
