Where is the Hallmark Channel?
I am new to At&t U verus. I was told when I signed up the Hallmark Channel was available. It took me a week to finally realize you don't have it. Very misleading.

The issue is that Hallmark wants the same fee that it gets from Dish, DirecTV and Comcast, and Uverse wants to pay less because it is much smaller than those three. Maybe half as large as Dish.

Food for thought as this may bring a smile to your face
AT&T "acquired/bought" DirecTV back in May/June 2014 and I also heard that once it is 100% complete (12 months to complete), that they will operate as a single company (TV-wise) and that means UVERSE/DirecTV will most likely have the same channel lineup, AND that includes the Hallmark Channels. There is hope and it will happen summer this year. Click on the link below for more info. AT&T acquiring DirecTV and letting it have the Hallmark Channels and completely avoiding UVERSE of having Hallmark Channel seems odd but once again, 90% chance of Hallmark Channel by summer/fall 2015. Anyone want to dispute it?

That's good to hear that there is hope we may get the Hallmark Channel back. I do like AT&T and all it offers. In the meantime I was considering getting a Roku so I could get Hallmark.

Awful lot of sumations going on here, some which are immediately discountable.
1. AT&T hasn't bought anything yet. This is a purposed merger which the Feds will give a yea or nay on.
2. 12 months? That's funny. Comcast has been trying to acquire Time Warner for double that and still has not received a green light.
3. AT&T (Wireless) called off a merger with T-Mobile. Nothing is for sure, til it's done.
4. One unified company? Who says? From your link: DIRECTV service will continue to be offered as a stand-alone service
I doubt that the merger will have any bearing on Hallmark. It will take AT&T to make a deal with Crown Media and Vice Versa. Good luck with that as AT&T balked at paying double and Crown seemed like their feelings were hurt, like for years after.

I know the merger is still ongoing (no one said the deal was completed yet) and AT&T has not officially bought yet it hence the quotation marks. The 12 months isn't over yet and that is in early summer or late summer of this year as we are still in winter, and it is very likely the Feds will give the green light to AT&T and DirecTV before then, as both parties (including the NFL vocally) already agreed to the "merger" terms and NFL Sunday Ticket has positive news that AT&T still wants to buy DirecTV, and that was a deciding factor too. Also in the link, it has this "Until the transaction closes, DIRECTV and AT&T will continue to operate as separate companies." Since the merger is set at $48 billion (cash and stock), their highly INCREASED userbase for UVERSE since 2010, AND with the excess cash/income their other services provide, AT&T HAS the money to make Hallmark Channel available on UVERSE and can easily accept Crown Media's current offer without any problems.

Then why hasn't Crown Media accepted the 2013 and 2014 offers that AT&T has made? Again, someone with "Hallmark TV USA''s" Facebook page said that they are deciding whether to accept it or not. I really feel that your angst should be directed at Crown, since they are continually saying "nyet."
As far as having boatloads of cash, AT&T will be a bit strapped for the 2015, 16 and 17 out years due to the purchase and will only start to reap the rewards of Direct cash after that.
No one wants this resolved more so than me. Hallmark is my wife's favorite channel.

Hallmark has been gone since Sept. 2010.
Don't mess with old people. The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

@hi @Thefisherman. Please consider checking the channel lineup before switching to a new provider. That will stop any surprises.

Nothing is impossible, but Hallmark has been absent from the lineup for over four years.

I know I've thought about changing carriers each year. I truly loved that channel.
