My remote is not working my satellite

I bough a new lg oled c3. Had an older main cable box for direct tv with satellite and it kept glitching. Got a new main box from direct tv and now tv will go black for a second every 5 minutes or so. I was told it takes 24 hrs before it will stop doing this but still happening. The tv has no issues
