Help my dvr is full because I can’t permanently delete my recordings on the new update???

Hello! For some reason the directv was working fine but none of the channels showed up, just was a black screen. At first I turned it off then back on, didn’t change anything. Our screen now says ALL RECORDINGS - This is where your recordings will show up. Press MENU on your remote to find where live shows you want to record, and press the R button to record something. It’ll be there, ready for you to watch anytime! Nothing there and where to access anything. All 5 tv set

Tried to bring up a usual channel, 44. Screen went dark, remote stopped working. New batteries, resets, etc. Blue 'on' light now there, but TV message 'no signal, is it on'?
